MSU Denver has been a long-term client of Neoera, turning to us to help shape their culture through thoughtful architectural design. When the university welcomed a new Dean to lead the College of Aerospace, Computing, Engineering & Design (CACED), the administration recognized the need for a space that reflected this new leadership and the innovative curriculum being launched. A former laboratory on the fourth floor of the Aerospace Engineering & Science building was selected to be transformed into a welcoming, forward-thinking Dean’s Suite — all within a modest construction budget. Neoera reimagined the space to balance openness and intimacy. To improve acoustics and create a more comfortable scale, we designed a lowered ceiling plane with aerodynamic-shaped openings, revealing the structure above. The reception area retains its original aluminum fins, now painted to unify the aesthetic. A custom coffee station with floating shelves and integrated lighting provides a natural gathering spot, reinforcing a sense of hospitality and community. The reception wall showcases bold circuitry and gear graphics — designed by MSU Denver’s marketing team — which visually communicates the College’s innovation-driven mission. The graphic continues into the adjacent conference room, creating a cohesive visual identity for the space where key discussions and decision-making take place. Beyond reception, a flexible “living room” space supports focused work, impromptu meetings, or moments of rest, while three private offices provide quiet zones for the Dean and staff. The result is a welcoming, approachable suite that embodies the College’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and student engagement.
