Liverpool Department Store

Liverpool Department Store is the most well-known department store in Mexico--the Macy’s of Mexico. Liverpool has emphasized unique design for its exterior facade work on retail stores, but for its corporate offices, it has traditionally placed little importance on design and the creation of collaborative, community spaces for its employees. Liverpool’s Accounting and IT departments were expanding to the extent they could no longer be accommodated in their existing facility, so Liverpool executives grabbed at the opportunity to build a new, high-rise office space in Santa Fe, Mexico, a district outside of the heart of Mexico City. Neoera worked with Mexico City based design/build firm, Factor Eficiencia, to establish an identity-formed interior environment full of creative opportunities for Liverpool employees to study English, and collaborate in open groups of 2-8 people. Neoera worked with Liverpool executives to overcome the typical, traditional corporate office design structure and to solve the inherent problem of conference room shortages where employees would continually be kicked out of the rooms for other meetings. To brand the two floors of corporate offices, Neoera incorporated pops of color: magentas, purples, white and wood throughout the floor plan to warm the space and incorporate the company brand colors of hot pink and black.
